Construction Manager

As a Construction Manager specializing in Civil Engineering Projects, you will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and closing of infrastructure projects. This includes managing site operations, resources, budgets, schedules, and quality control, while ensuring strict adherence to safety, environmental, and contractual requirements. You will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality civil engineering assets on time and within budget.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in construction management, with a strong focus on civil engineering infrastructure projects.
• - Demonstrable experience in managing projects across various civil disciplines, such as roads (earthworks, paving, storm water), water infrastructure (pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, treatment works), bulk earthworks, and structural concrete works.
• - Proven track record of successfully delivering medium to large-scale projects (e.g., R50M+) from inception through to handover.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• - Professional Registration (Pr.Eng / Pr.Tech.Eng with ECSA or Pr.CPM with SACPCMP) is highly advantageous and preferred.
• - Valid Driver's License.

• - Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage diverse project teams, including site personnel, subcontractors, and consultants.
• - Problem-Solving & Decision Making: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot complex technical and logistical issues on site, making timely and effective decisions.
