Product Owner

The role

We’re hiring a Product Owner to help scale our engineering delivery and improve focus and throughput across the team. This role is key to bridging the gap between strategy and execution - translating broad intent into well-scoped, actionable work for developers and unblocking day-to-day decisions.

You’ll be embedded within the engineering team, ensuring work is well-defined, blockers are swiftly addressed, and stakeholders are aligned. By owning the day-to-day delivery rhythm, you’ll enable the wider technology function to focus on output, strategic growth, innovation, and stakeholder alignment.

What you'll do

• Own the sprint backlog - shaping, refining, and prioritising stories for clear and efficient delivery
• Define acceptance criteria and ensure stories are well-scoped, testable, and ready for development
• Collaborate on solution design - balancing technical feasibility, business needs, and user experience
• Facilitate sprint ceremonies and retrospectives - ensuring structure, clarity, and useful outcomes
• Liaise with stakeholders to clarify requirements, manage trade-offs, and respond to changing priorities
• Create wireframes or annotated mockups to communicate concepts and proposed UI changes effectively
• Support UAT by helping define test scenarios, gathering structured feedback, and validating fixes
• Write clear, user-focused documentation for both internal and external audiences where needed
• Own delivery through to rollout - ensuring features are launched smoothly, adopted successfully, and understood by end users
• Drive delivery momentum by removing blockers and maintaining team focus and flow
• Continuously improve delivery practices and help embed agile principles into day-to-day work
  
  

About You

• You’ve worked in a Product Owner or Agile delivery role and are confident working within cross-functional teams
• You’re detail-oriented but pragmatic - able to break work down without overcomplicating
• You understand agile principles and can enable effective team rhythms and ceremonies
• You’re comfortable navigating between technical conversations and business context
• You keep the team focused on what’s actionable and impactful, not just what’s interesting
• You actively use AI tools to accelerate product tasks - whether it’s shaping user stories, drafting documentation, or exploring solution patterns more efficiently
• You’re confident saying “no” when needed to protect team focus and ensure priorities are aligned
• You value progress over perfection and help others focus on what’s “good enough” to ship
• You bring calm and structure to ambiguity, helping teams make confident decisions when the path isn’t obvious
• You’re thoughtful with your time and others’ - you write things down and run efficient meetings
• You’re respectful of different communication styles and are just as happy chatting things through over chat as in a meeting
• You communicate clearly and confidently in English, both in writing and when speaking, with an ability to tailor your style to your audience
• You take real satisfaction in well-run sprints, strong team velocity, and a backlog that reflects reality
• You bring energy and momentum - especially when others are spinning their wheels
• You’re comfortable working remotely, but know when to jump on a call to unblock something quickly
• You ideally hold a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) qualification or similar, and understand how to apply it in practice
• You see your role as a multiplier - enabling those around you to do their best work
• Experience in the marketing technology, digital media or agency space is a bonus
