Job Overview
We are seeking an accomplished and experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounts receivable, ensuring efficient and effective management of payments, collections, customer accounts, and compliance. This includes oversight of receivables arising from Service Contracts, Parts & Vehicles, Xentry, and Fleetboard, as well as the Dealer Warranty Payout process. This role demands strong analytical skills, exemplary communication and negotiation abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage payments and collections for both local and international customers, in collaboration with the Shared Services Team and the Accounts Receivable Call Centre.
- Analyze and review all payments and collections related to accounts receivable.
- Approve all payments and collections via e-ticket and inform Treasury for forecasting purposes.
- Manage and execute the financial closing process for all accounts receivable topics, including analysis and maintenance of the relevant chart of accounts.
- Prepare and analyze reports pertinent to Accounts Receivable and Warranty to ensure transparency and support informed decision-making.
- Regularly approve DFE for the Debit/Credit Note System.
- Address customer queries: Analyze, follow up, and resolve inquiries from customers and dealers by consulting relevant stakeholders and providing timely feedback. Maintain effective relationships with customers, dealers, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with various business departments to streamline processes and address queries and challenges effectively.
- Interface Management: Promptly analyze and resolve interface errors to ensure smooth operations and accurate financial reporting. Identify root causes of errors, implement effective solutions, and take preventive measures for future occurrences.
- Oversee key service providers (e.g., Shared Service Centre and Collections Call Centre) to ensure quality service delivery and monitor KPIs.
- Supervise the DTSA Accounts Receivable team, including task execution, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Digitalization: Identify opportunities to digitalize processes and review manual tasks for potential digitalization.
- ICS Controls: Perform, maintain, and report on ICS controls to ensure all internal controls for the debtor’s department are met.
- Three-year (3) tertiary qualification (NQFL 6) in Accounting Science/ Financial Management/ Commerce or equivalent.
- Computer literacy.
- Five (5) years’ experience of which three (3) years must be functional experience in Accounts Receivable.
- MS Office Suite.
- Accounting & Controlling Principles.
- Knowledge of legislation (e.g Exchange control regulations).
- Technical Knowledge.
- Banking Acumen.
- Company Policies, Structure and Procedures.
- Excellent Communication Skills (Oral & Written).
