About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Associate to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to the Finance department, working cross-functionally with both internal teams and external partners. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring accurate financial operations, supporting month-end processes, and helping drive scalable systems in a high-growth environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with and help manage the relationship with our outsourced accounting partner to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, timely month- and year-end close, and accurate financial reporting
  • Partner with FP&A, leadership, and department heads to analyze operating results, monitor financial trends, and report key performance indicators
  • Work closely with the Controller to improve and streamline the month-end close process
  • Oversee payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate employee payments, including bonuses and incentive compensation
  • Review and process additional pay items (e.g. W-2s, 1099s), and verify payroll tax filings for compliance and accuracy
  • Manage accounts payable: review, code, and process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and corporate card transactions in line with policies
  • Maintain vendor records, monitor the AP inbox, and manage the Finance calendar to track deadlines for reporting and compliance
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and other adjustments to support accurate month- and year-end financial closes
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure data integrity
  • Support regulatory filings, including surveys, franchise taxes, and annual reports
  • Serve as a key point of contact for finance-related employee and vendor inquiries
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analyses and special projects to support business decisions and improve efficiency

About You

  • Thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong sense of ownership
  • Comfortable working in a remote-first organization and building relationships virtually
  • Tech-savvy and enthusiastic about implementing efficient, scalable processes
  • Strong communicator — able to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy and compliance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, with exposure to payroll and accounts payable
  • Experience in healthcare services is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with accounting and business tools; experience with Rippling, Ramp, and QuickBooks Online is a plus
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
