A family is looking for a SPECIAL NEEDS AU PAIR for their son aged 7 years old (Non-verbal Autism)
Area: Kew
Ages: son aged 7 years old
Neurodivergence Snapshot: Non-verbal Autism
Support Style: Receives therapy at school. He gets extremely frustrated trying to communicate with peers and guardians.
Working hours: Monday – Friday: 14h30 – 16h30
Duties: candidate will be required to meet the child at home, assist with one on one engagement to assist in developing a relationship with the child, assisting with developing progress with his communication skills and finding a way forward on what suits him best, engage in age appropriate stimulation, games and educational play, developing fine and gross motor skills, identify his strong points and weaknesses and develop them accordingly. He really enjoys active play (jumping, running around and being active), keep TV and tablet time to a minimum as this does tend to trigger him.
Requirements: experience with Autism is a must
Start date: ASAP start – permanent contract
Salary: R9000 – R10 000 per month (gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.76)

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:
**** Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
****Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
****Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
****Must have a clear criminal record
****Must have a passion for children
****Must have Matric
****Must have a South African ID document.
