Accounts Payable Specialist Manager- (Fixed-Term Contract)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist Manager to oversee the accounts payable department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of accounts payable specialists, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. The Accounts Payable Specialist Manager will also be responsible for implementing and improving accounts payable processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of accounts payable specialists, providing guidance, training, and support
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports
• Verify and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies or issues
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and communicate effectively to resolve payment issues
• Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and procedures
• Review and approve large or special payments
• Analyze accounts payable data, identify trends and areas for improvement, and report findings to management
• Develop and implement accounts payable processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Oversee the accounts payable system and recommend and implement improvements as needed
• Provide support for audits and assist with internal and external audit requests

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or related field
• Previous experience managing a team of accounts payable specialists
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, procedures, and systems
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
