Purpose of Role

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Intermediate IT Solutions Architect to join our Group IT Shared Services Team. This role bridges solution delivery and enterprise architecture disciplines, offering the opportunity to design technology solutions while contributing to enterprise-wide architectural standards, security frameworks, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in IT systems design, with growing expertise in enterprise architecture alignment, security, and AI integration.

Objectives of Role

Key Responsibilities:

1. Architecture Design & Delivery

  • Design, document, and support the delivery of technical solutions across applications, infrastructure, and integration layers.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into functional and technical architecture.
  • Support the implementation of architecture standards, ensuring compliance with IT governance and security requirements.

2. AI & Innovation

  • Contribute to the integration of AI capabilities (e.g., chatbots, automation, data-driven decision support) into enterprise solutions.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts on AI-related projects.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, particularly in the AI/ML and cloud-native space.

3. Security & Compliance

  • Apply security best practices to architectural designs, including data privacy, access control, and secure integration.
  • Collaborate with Information Security teams to align with internal and regulatory security frameworks.
  • Support audits and risk assessments for IT solutions.

4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work cross-functionally with developers, analysts, business teams, and senior architects.
  • Present proposed solutions in a clear, business-aligned manner.
  • Contribute to architecture review sessions and technical planning activities.

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for system improvements, automation, and efficiency.
  • Provide technical input during vendor evaluations and tool assessments.
  • Mentor junior team members or contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.


Experience and Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., AWS,Azure Solution Architect, AWS/Azure Cloud Certification; TOGAF; Microsoft AI Fundamentals or CompTIA Security+).

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of IT experience, including at least 1–2 years in a solution/security design or architecture support role.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Exposure to AI/ML technologies and how they can be practically applied in business systems.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of IT solution design (applications, integrations, data, and infrastructure).
  • Familiarity with APIs, microservices, containerization, and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of AI concepts such as machine learning, NLP, or automation tools.
  • Understanding of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) and cloud security best practices.
