Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management : Track and manage all incoming and outgoing stock, ensuring that the correct quantities of wigs and related products are available at all times.
Stock Audits : Conduct regular stock audits to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies. Report any issues to the Store Manager.
Stock Replenishment : Monitor stock levels and liaise with suppliers to place orders and ensure timely delivery of stock.
Stock Organisation : Ensure that all stock is stored in an organized manner and in appropriate conditions, especially wigs which require special handling.
Stock Transfers : Coordinate the movement of stock between the store and warehouse to ensure accurate distribution.
Receiving and Checking Deliveries : Inspect all incoming stock deliveries for accuracy and quality. Verify that the correct items and quantities have been received.
Reporting and Documentation : Maintain accurate records of stock movements, including orders, sales, returns, and stock adjustments.
Customer Assistance : Assist customers with product availability inquiries and help them locate desired items.
Returns Management : Manage and process returns, ensuring that returned products are properly recorded and restocked or returned to suppliers as necessary.
Collaboration : Work closely with the sales team and management to address stock shortages or product issues and assist with inventory planning.
Travel for Stocktakes : Travel to various locations across South Africa to conduct stocktakes and ensure inventory is accurate at all retail locations.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in stock control, inventory management, or a retail environment.
Knowledge: Familiarity with retail stock management systems (e.g., ERP systems, point of sale (POS) systems).
Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when handling stock and inventory records.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve stock-related issues promptly.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry stock (including boxes of wigs) and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and experience with stock management software.
Valid Driver's License: The applicant must hold a valid driver’s license and be comfortable traveling across the country for stocktakes and inventory management tasks.
Preferred:
Experience in the retail or beauty industry, particularly with hair products or wigs will be a added advantage.
Personal Attributes:
Reliable, punctual, and proactive.
Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and take initiative when necessary.
Comfortable with frequent travel and managing logistical aspects of stock across various locations.
