We started building Novel to bring joy back to restaurant software. We’re at the beginning of our growth curve and we’re looking for a Founding Sales Rep. You’ll do one thing, all the time - talk to restaurants. Your goal? Get customers.


The experience you have is less important than the motivation you have and the critical thinking you bring.


Role details

  • Field sales, evangelist, dreamweaver
  • You’ll spend all of your time building relationships with restaurants
  • 30-40hrs per week (you choose)
  • Base R20k per month, on target commission R20k, uncapped upside
  • If you perform, this will double in 1-2 years
  • Remote, but this role requires being in the field at restaurants

The role will evolve over time, but for now it includes:

  • Sales: cold calls, cold walk-ins, emails, tracking
  • Customer success: helping new customers go-live, setting up their workspace, their email flows, working with staff, ensuring they reach their potential
  • Product: help us understand customer problems and translate these into product decisions


Some must haves

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communicator
  • Flexible enough to be on-site at restaurants
  • Own laptop, cellphone, and transport
  • Fluent in English
