This key role will be responsible for managing the upkeep and development of the built environment including lodges, roads, utility services, staff accommodation, and operational facilities. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient operation of all maintenance activities and will lead infrastructure development projects from concept through to delivery.
The role requires a highly organised and proactive individual with a strong background in facilities, project management, and contractor coordination. You must be comfortable working in a remote environment, with experience handling complex logistical challenges.
Responsibilities include:
Managing infrastructure projects including new builds, renovations, and roadworks
Overseeing preventative and reactive maintenance across the reserve
Coordinating with external contractors and internal teams
Ensuring compliance with safety, legal, and environmental standards
Budget planning, expenditure control, and asset management
Providing timely reporting and progress updates
Package:
Salary: R45,000 – R65,000 depending on experience
Accommodation: Provided (optional)
Start Date: ASAP
Minimum 8 years’ experience in construction or facilities management
Strong technical knowledge of civil works, logistics, and infrastructure systems
Excellent contractor and project management skills
Ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple priorities simultaneously
South African citizenship or valid work permit
Valid driver’s license
Between 7 - 10 Years
