ICT Sales Account Manager

Our client, a telecoms giant based in Roodepoort, seeks the skills of target driven, persuasive ICT Sales Account Managers to source and secure new business while nurturing and growing existing client relationships.
This role is office based and requires a results-oriented individual with a passion for technology, a strong grasp of the telecommunications space, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
As an ICT Sales Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for identifying and closing new business opportunities, upselling and cross-selling ICT solutions, and retaining a high percentage of existing contracts—targeting a 90% retention rate. You will be instrumental in meeting sales targets while ensuring client satisfaction through timely, solution-focused engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
1) Sales & Target Achievement
Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
Proactively engage in cold calling to acquire new clients.
Maximize client value through upselling and cross-selling.
Maintain regular contact with clients and focus on business development.
2) Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients.
Analyze customer accounts to uncover new opportunities.
Ensure consistent service and engagement across your client base.
3) Query Resolution
Respond to client queries promptly, providing feedback within 24 hours.
Ensure client issues are resolved effectively and professionally.
4) Reporting & Insights
Deliver weekly pipeline updates and daily sales reports.
Submit accurate monthly base reports and maintain up-to-date opportunity records.
Share market insights, forecasts, and competitor intelligence.
5) Process & Compliance
Follow all internal policies and procedures.
Capture all client interactions accurately in relevant systems.
We require:
Matric/Grade 12 is essential.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in ICT Sales or Account Management with a proven track record.
Solid understanding of the telecommunications ICT industry and its product offerings.
Experience handling corporate clients, large accounts, and tenders.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Strong communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and able to perform under pressure.
