Recently announced funding by Climate Fund Managers will enable our dynamic, young team in its ambition to power and electrify Africa. We are present in several countries in Africa and in the Americas, and are headquartered in Oslo, Norway.

Main purpose of position

Currently we are looking for a Quality Manager to be based in Cape Town, South Africa and be part of our global team. The primary mandate of the Quality Manager is to p rovide core quality management support services throughout the business development, procurement, delivery and lease phases of the Release project portfolio, which include amongst other, quality assurance, process management, governance, competence, and quality control.

Main responsibilities:


  • General Quality & business support: Manage & develop the Quality processes of the Release Operating System
  • Superuser in FTQ360 (Quality Management Software) or other software platform if adopted
  • Developing and manage the organization’s overall documentation system
  • Support to projects: Establish the quality strategy, goals and objectives for project and plan the implementation thereof

  • Prepare the Project Quality Plans (including ITPs) and improve Release quality process
  • Review and approval of Quality Plans from suppliers and subcontractors (FATs, SATs)
  • Maintain all quality documentation and work closely with Document Control to manage quality documentation
  • Support Project Manager on quality related matters when needed
  • Champion initiatives to raise quality awareness and enhance the profile of quality management within the organization
  • Manage the quality reporting database/registers (eg. NCRs database)
  • Generate Quality KPIs and issue reports to Project Managers
  • Drive the implementation of the quality improvement plans through the project site teams and suppliers
  • Lead the Quality reviews and produce Quality reports as required
  • Equip quality inspectors/officers (on site and at sub-suppliers) to perform quality inspections by providing onboarding and training to these individuals and teams.
  • Manage quality inspections on the project site (ITPs) and at the sub suppliers (FATs, SATs)
  • Establish and drive through internal audit plans and schedules to ensure compliance
  • Perform internal Quality Audits in the projects
  • Perform Lessons Learned workshop as per the Operating System at the end of project lifecycles



Qualifications And Competencies


  • University Degree or equivalent in Economic-Technical Engineering and/or Business/Economics
  • 5 years’ experience in Quality Management
  • Working experience in a Construction Project Environment in a Quality role
  • Preferably experience in process management, inspection, site construction and installation
  • Experience in the development and implementation of project QA/QC plans
  • Preferably experience with document management systems
  • Capable of managing a Quality Management function
  • A bility to understand and mitigate risk, quality and cost, in respect to the plants
  • Fluent in both written and spoken in English. French competency will be an advantage
  • E x cellent writing skills and ability to communicate about complex design and technical issues internally and with the client
  • F amiliarity with project management tools (project planning) and methodologies
  • Excellent MS Office Suite software knowledge and Microsoft SharePoint
