Job Context
Servest Landscaping & Turf is seeking a highly driven and experienced Site Manager to join our dynamic team in Paarl, Western Cape. This role requires a hands-on leader with proven technical and managerial experience in horticulture and grounds maintenance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring service excellence, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- National Diploma in Horticulture or related tertiary qualification (advantageous)
- 3–5 years' experience in site or landscape management
- Proven experience leading and motivating large operational teams
- Strong administrative, planning, and organisational skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic financial and budgeting understanding
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capability
- Ability to work under pressure and in collaboration with diverse teams
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the full operations of a large, high-profile landscaping site.
- Supervise and coordinate a large staff complement to meet quality standards.
- Conduct site walkabouts, complete inspection reports, and submit timely updates to management.
- Liaise with clients regularly and escalate issues proactively.
- Implement and monitor compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Drive team performance and identify high-potential employees for development.
- Keep accurate attendance registers and prepare timesheets for payroll submission.
- Oversee machinery inspections and checklist submissions.
- Prepare quotes and lead client meetings professionally.
- Complete and present customised monthly client audits and satisfaction surveys.
- Perform any ad hoc duties as required, including occasional overtime.
- Responsible for initiating and managing staff disciplinary processes in line with company policy.
