SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYST

Job Advert Summary

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for researching, developing and implementing mechanisms and tools to ensure operational efficiency and continuous improvement of the supply chain value chain.

Minimum Requirements

• NQF 6 Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Finance, Business Management or Engineering OR Minimum CIPS Corporate Award Practitioner
• Minimum 4 years’ relevant working experience
• Eligibility to be registered with the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS)

Primary Duties

• To monitor, evaluate and report on productivity management of the procurement process;
• To conduct research and development that will improve the SCM model;
• To implement innovative solutions to improve the efficiency of the SCM value chain;
• To implement systems that will enable automation of the SCM value chain;
• To conduct market analysis to enable Rand Water to determine the best pricing for goods/services;
• To conduct comparative studies and recommend process enhancements;
• To assess the efficiency of supply chain processes in conjunction with departmental and functional managers;
• To ensure supply chain activities are assessed for risk and provide mitigation measures.

Knowledge

• Knowledge of the national SCM regulations i.e. PFMA, PPPFA, CIDB best practice etc. and understanding of the FIDIC (and NEC3) suit of contracts
• SCM Practices and Procedures
• Understanding of Economic Transformation in Supply Chain Management
• Research and Analytics
