A well established and growing business in Cape Town is seeking a Newly qualified CA(SA) to join its finance team. This is a hands-on role ideal for a finance professional who enjoys a dynamic work environment, is confident in managing full accounting functions, and thrives in contributing to financial strategy and business growth



The ideal candidate will bring experience in managing reporting, month-end processes, budgets, statutory compliance, and working with external auditors. This role also presents the opportunity to support systems development, automation, and business process optimization

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and finalise month-end accounts through to management account level
  • Analyse and investigate variances within the profit and loss statement, identifying and explaining anomalies
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure all income and expenditure is accurately recorded and accounted for
  • Compile and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial integrity
  • Manage assigned areas of the annual budgeting process and contribute to broader budgeting activities
  • Prepare audit lead schedules and take ownership of key audit areas during financial year-end
  • Maintain robust financial controls and support the ongoing development of effective reporting frameworks
  • Play an active role in supporting the finance team's day-to-day operations and overall performance
  • Aid the Senior Financial Accountant and Financial Executive on various ad hoc projects and assignments


Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience:


  • BCom Accounting / BAcc / BCompt or equivalent accounting degree
  • Must be a CA(SA) SAICA registered or eligible to register withcompleted articles
  • Minimum of 3-6 years experience in a full-function accounting role including articles
  • Experience in preparing financial statements and management accounts essential
  • Previous exposure to working in the manufacturing or FMCGindustry an advantage
