Job Advert Summary
Rand Water is currently looking for the Technical Trainer to create and promote a learning environment in which the Business Unit needs are met in accordance with its strategic and operational objectives by ensuring optimum congruence between organizational, skills development needs and Water and Sanitation Sector needs for Rand Water to meet its strategic and operation objectives.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- Degree/B-Tech in Water Care/Water Utilization or equivalent qualification
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in the ETD environment
- Detailed knowledge of ALL aspects related to Water Purification, Wastewater, Laboratory, and Water Demand & Management experience; + 3 years
- 3 years’ experience in Design & Development and Implementation of learning programs
- Registered Assessor with EWSETA
- Computer literacy (Ms. Office Suite)
- A valid Code B drivers’ license
- Have ODETD Practitioner NQF L4
Added advantage
- Moderator certificate
- Have knowledge of training legislative prescripts
- Have knowledge of QCTO process
- Have knowledge of Project Management
Primary Duties
- Development and Design training and learnership programmes
- Conduct training needs analysis according to ETD requirements
- Review and update learning material
- Review and update assessment guide
- Develop training and learnership implementation plan
- Plan and implement Skills Development interventions
- Facilitate learning using a variety of given methodologies
- Conduct outcomes-based assessment
- Guide and support learners in their learning, assessment and recognition opportunities
- Evaluate a learning intervention using given evaluation instruments (learning programmes)
- Evaluate and audit service provider’s deliverables
- Provide coaching and mentoring to learners
- Develop meaningful relationships to promote learner support
- Proactively identify learner needs and challenges
- Analyze learner challenges and decide on appropriate actions
- Implement training budget against learnership costs per quarter
- Monitor training budget spent per month
- Compile quarterly report on training programmes and budget spent
