Job Summary:
The purpose of this role is to support the Operators Numbering Machine to ensure that Barrels are serviced and assist with day-to-day tasks.

The purpose of this role is to support the Operators Numbering Machine to ensure that Barrels are serviced and assist with day-to-day tasks.
Main Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Accept product and raw materials from the storage areas and transport these to the applicable production section.
- Ensure that there are sufficient consumables such as Barrels for the shift.
- Connects to diagnostic tool to identify problems.
- Perform Numbering barrel change overs on the Numerota machine.
- Restore Electrical components on the barrels/boxes.
- Problem solves barrel failures on the machine.
- Report any deviations to the senior in the section.
- Assist with balancing products daily.
- Adhere to the health, safety and environmental legislation.
- To ensure that safe work practices are adhered to, to identify, address and escalate hazards and risks in the workplace.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- To ensure health, safety, environmental, quality regulations and standards are adhered to in line with the legal requirements.
- Preform ad hoc duties as and when required.
Qualifications and experience:
- Grade 12 and N4-N6 Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or Equivalent
- 1 – 2 years of experience in a Printing environment
Knowledge and Skills:
- Principles of production.
- Knowledge of printing industry.
- Numeracy and literacy skills.
- Communication skills.
- Computer literate - basic data entry.
