Job Description:

The Aluminium works department requires a committed, hardworking and trustworthy individual to join the team as a Forklift Operator. The successful candidate will report directly to the Line Manager, Assistant Production Manager, Production Manager and Quality Manager. (SHIFT POSITION).

The Forklift Operator’s primary purpose is to provide support within the Aluworks division as dictated by operational requirements in the form of moving material, bags, bins and other products.

Responsibilities (not Limited To The Below)

• Carry out daily inspections of the Forklift and report any faults
• Do general maintenance and cleaning of the Forklift
• Move and place Aluminium products were instructed
• Load and off-load aluminium materials on and off trucks or containers
• Complete check lists and log sheets
• Maintain safe working procedures at all times
• Abide by the regulations as set out in the O.H.S.A and company policies
  
  

Qualifying Experience

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• Valid Forklift license and/or certificate
• 2 – 5 years relevant experience
• Willingness to work overtime
• Previous experience in a physically demanding working environment would be advantageous
