Description

We are seeking a Finance Analyst to provide essential support to our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist with various financial tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of the team’s day-to-day and month-end activities. This role will focus on supporting data collection, report generation, and providing administrative assistance to senior finance staff. You will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and helping the team meet critical deadlines. Given the ever-expanding nature of the business, the role is particularly focused on supporting the month-end reporting cycle, but there will be an opportunity to support a broad spectrum of finance activities across the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and organisation of financial data for reports and presentations.
  • Support the finance team with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Help prepare and update financial models, budgets, and forecasts as directed.
  • Provide assistance in the tracking and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Perform routine financial data entry, reconciliation, and updates in financial systems.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing financial documentation and statements for accuracy.
  • Help maintain financial databases, ensuring data integrity and organization.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as needed by senior finance staff.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Qualified or part-qualified in a recognised degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (including data entry, analysis, and basic formulas) & PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting processes and financial systems (e.g. Xero & Fathom).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to assist in the preparation of reports and presentations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and support the finance team to meet deadlines.
