Field Visual Merchandiser - JHB

Are you a creative and driven Visual Merchandiser with a passion for retail and an eye for detail? The Old Khaki Department is looking for a dynamic and experienced Field Visual Merchandiser to join our team and elevate our in-store experience across multiple locations.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll be responsible for executing and enhancing visual merchandising strategies across a broad and diverse product range. You’ll utilize retail space effectively to create visually appealing displays and walkways that elevate the customer journey and support our brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement visual merchandising that aligns with brand strategy and enhances in-store presentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive visual excellence across all stores.
• Ensure all visual standards, promotional displays, and seasonal changes are executed flawlessly.
• Guide and support store teams on best practices and execution.
• Oversee visual merchandising for a minimum of 20 retail stores.
• Stay current with industry trends and competitor activities.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a passionate individual who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and brings:

• Proven experience in visual merchandising within a corporate retail setting (5+ years).
• Leadership experience managing teams and processes (3+ years).
• A solid track record in overseeing visual standards across multiple stores.
• An excellent eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a deadline-driven mindset.
• High energy, self-motivation, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills—teamwork is essential in this role.
• The ability to align with our company vision and drive consistency across the customer journey.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience
• 5+ years of visual merchandising experience in a corporate retail environment
• Experience managing VM across 20+ stores
• Retail floor experience is a strong advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
