Inventory Controller

The position of Inventory Controller will support Materials Management by ensuring timely, accurate reporting of inventory levels for all warehouses in Central and Southern Africa. This role will also provide analysis to assist management in identifying opportunities to reduce excess/obsolete inventory, improve material availability, and reduce overall inventory costs.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly inventory reports to various stakeholders including internal customers, corporate headquarters, and other regional locations
• Maintain cycle counts on specific inventory items as needed
• Support annual physical inventories at all warehouse locations
• Assist with projects related to improving inventory accuracy or reducing obsolescence
• Analyse inventory usage patterns to identify trends and opportunities to optimize stocking strategies.
• Management and control of off-site consignment warehouses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in inventory control
• Diploma or Degree in a related field of supply chain and inventory.
• Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) process
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with Dynamics 365 or other ERP systems
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
