To design, develop and enhance processes within the business to ensure resource and operational alignment with business strategies to

ensure business value through the optimal integration of policies, processes, people, and technology by proactively analysing, researching,

designing, and implementing efficient and effective business process solutions to achieve our business objectives.

Are You Someone Who Can

  • Identify business process improvements (Direct Cost Savings or efficiency improvements)
  • Facilitate the design of business processes to enhance overall efficiency and customer experience according to design principles and methodology.
  • Analyze business requirements related to various processes.
  • Conduct business transformation projects to create radical business improvements that enhance performance.
  • Develop solutions to analyze business processes and systems to unlock bottlenecks, improve capacity planning, and to test various operational scenarios.
  • Perform work study and layout planning.
  • Conduct economic evaluation of solution alternatives to recommend the best solutions to business partners.
  • Perform problem solving for complex business problems using advanced methods in calculus, science, mechanics, etc.
  • Identify areas where Robotic Process Automation, STP, AI and other innovative technologies can be deployed to create efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with Risk and Compliance partners to ensure processes adhere to governance protocols, meeting legislative and audit requirements by supplying business process content for updating operating procedures.
  • Create/Update business processes, in conjunction with business partners ensuring that process maps are according to FirstRand Group Ltd mapping standards. The process mapping function should not exceed 20% of the allocated capacity.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify opportunities for business process improvements.
  • Integrate business information and produce reports to identify trends, discrepancies and inconsistencies for decision making purposes.
  • Support the Change Management capability by providing information which contributes to building training manuals/material and providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Build and maintain good relationships across teams (business users, change management resources, developers, testing and training teams) and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Provide sufficient input into business case formulation to quantify project/initiative business benefit.
  • Ensure that process changes are measured so that unit cost calculations and turnaround times are accurate (Time standards calculated).
  • Qualitative and quantitative benefit identification, tracking, and realization.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership in supported areas.
  • Identify and manage risks and dependencies for projects/initiatives. Execute all project/initiative in accordance with FirstRand Group Ltd governance policies and approval forums.
  • Manage your own development to increase your own competencies.

Qualifications

You will be an ideal candidate if you:

  • BSc-Eng, BEng, or BTech in any engineering discipline
  • 3+ years Proven work experience as a Process Engineer
  • Lean 6 Sigma certified
  • Knowledge of process-related standards
  • Experience in process simulations
  • Working knowledge of process engineering software package
