We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled Housekeeper to support the operations of beautifully curated, eco-conscious short-stay apartments in Cape Town. The successful candidate will work Friday to Monday, from 9am to 4pm, and must be capable of upholding high housekeeping standards while providing professional and friendly service to guests.
Key Responsibilities:
General Cleaning:
Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
Making beds and changing linen, ensuring laundry is prepared for collection.
Laundering and ironing.
Deep-cleaning of bathrooms and kitchens.
Replenishment of toiletries, cleaning supplies, and consumables.
Decluttering and tidying of rooms.
Waste and recycling management.
Care of equipment and reporting of damages.
Reporting maintenance issues and completing daily condition reports.
Supervision (as needed):
Oversee daily cleaning tasks and ensure standards are met.
Inspect apartments for quality control and escalate issues as required.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns.
Additional Duties:
Opportunity for additional ad-hoc shifts during busy periods.
Assist guests with operating appliances and ensure their comfort.
Maintain records of cleaning tasks and support smooth daily operations.
Salary: R6,000 – R8,000 per month, dependent on experience
Working Hours : Friday to Monday, 9am – 4pm
Location : Cape Town
Legal right to work in South Africa.
Physically fit and capable of completing daily housekeeping duties.
Self-motivated with a proactive and problem-solving approach.
Familiarity with cleaning products and correct usage.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
Basic numeracy and IT literacy.
Strong time management and multitasking ability.
Experience:
Minimum 1–2 years in a similar housekeeping role in a luxury Airbnb environment or 5-star hotel/guesthouse.
Supervisory experience in a similar setting will be an advantage.
Between 1 - 3 Years
