Summary of Job


  • To lead and manage all aspects of Distribution Centre operations


Reporting To


DC Manager


Qualifications & Experience


  • Grade 12 with tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years in warehouse/logistics operations, with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • Experience in managing high-volume warehouse operations (3,000+ pallets).
  • Solid understanding of WMS, Microsoft Excel
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound knowledge of IR practices, health and safety, food safety (HACCP), and audit readiness.

Key Performance Areas


  • Manage end-to-end warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, dispatch, and returns.
  • Oversee transport planning, vehicle routing, and distribution to stores/customers.
  • Monitor and maintain warehouse productivity, KPIs, and cost control.
  • Lead a team of supervisors, controllers, and warehouse staff to meet daily targets.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety, HACCP, ISO, and company SOPs.
  • Implement and maintain effective stock control measures, including cycle counts, shrinkage, and expiry management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in efficiency, waste reduction, and cost-saving.
  • Collaborate closely with HR on IR/ER matters, performance management, and workforce planning.
  • Ensure readiness for audits (internal/external) and accurate reporting to senior management.
  • Manage warehouse budget, maintenance of material handling equipment, and asset control.
