Job Purpose
The role is responsible for overseeing the day to day operational management of TIH’s SharePoint-based intranet, by supporting content owners and business partners in maintaining overall quality control on content, structure and design. In addition, the role is required to develop, implement, and maintain policies and standards to ensure effective and engaging content that delivers on the business strategy. The role’s outcome is to drive measurable intranet adoption and usage, by collaborating with stakeholders to project manage the deployment of tools that drive employee engagement across the organisation.
Responsibilities
Websites/Portals Maintenance and Update
Design and oversee the functionality, usability, and accessibility of business-critical portals/websites using content creation and management tools as well as digital media to ensure that technical continuity is maintained and development standards are met.
Ensuring functionality and efficiency of sites.
Creates and manages web pages (both wiki pages and web part pages)
Add document libraries.
Creating and configuring lists and forms.
Manage the content hosted on SharePoint.
Update website content and review SEO.
Websites Design and Delivery
Design, schedule, build, and deliver new and enhanced basic and business critical portals/websites to achieve the agreed business and communication plans in terms of quality, cost, and timing and create an engaging website.
Build functional and easy-to-use websites.
Testing IT Performance
Perform website/applications software tests and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issues , either independently or in partnership with the allocated IT business partner.
Debug pages and fix broken links or images.
Ensuring functionality and efficiency of sites and web servers, in partnership with the IT BP.
Assists with Quality Assurance testing of websites.
Delegate tasks to IT Business Partners to address technical issues and ensure speedy resolution.
Website Maps and Templates Development
Develop website maps, application models, and image or page templates to meet user needs, industry standards, and/or project goals.
Creates, manages, and customises lists, libraries and other SharePoint components.
Creating and configuring new sites.
Assists in web asset collection and delivery with individuals (marketing, product team, cruise team) across all departments.
Application Software Development
Contribute to development of existing and new applications by analysing and identifying areas for modification and improvement. Contribute to development of new applications to meet customer requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement
Develop stakeholder engagement through identifying stakeholders, finding out their needs/issues/concerns and reacting to these to support the communication of business information and decisions.
Responsible for being the departmental liaison with IT/Web, in particular with regard to departmental intranet requests.
Work with Product Teams to gather design and development assets for sites and marketing.
Personal Capability Building
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
Compliance
Review non-compliance issues and find solutions to ad hoc problems within an assigned unit or discipline. Involves working under guidance and within existing compliance systems.
Participates in the design and governance of the site.

Data Collection and Analysis
Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formats.
Use data management systems to access specific information as and when required.
Monitoring online traffic and conversions.
Monitor and analyse site performance (e.g traffic, conversions).
Monitoring system usage to optimise performance.
Digital Workplace Strategy/Transformational Projects Execution
Execute and deliver elements of the digital road map, leveraging agile and design-thinking principles to drive sustainable implementation.
Contribute to the definition of the digital marketing strategy and plan by providing input regarding the implementation of initiatives.
Develop tactical plans for optimising resources and assets being managed within a given area or department.
Build and populate dashboards and reporting mechanisms to capture results and improvement opportunities for digital initiatives.
Project Management
Deliver small-scale or medium-scale projects while working within an established plan.
Design own monthly schedule and, if necessary, assign work to others in order to speed up office workflow and ensure high-priority tasks get done.
Maintains a project plan and makes sure its items are accomplished in a timely manner - deadlines are met.
Updates master timelines including organising assets and updating team on status and budgets.
Communicates and organises incoming requests for changes, priorities, and determine schedules.
Help expedite user adoption within an organisation.
Education
Grade 12/ SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential); Recognised web development certification / degree / diploma (Essential); Microsoft Power platform fundamentals PL-900 certification (Essential)
Experience
2 to 4 years’ previous experience in a similar role (Essential); SharePoint and Powerplatform experience (Essential); Social platform experience where relevant (Advantageous); Previous experience within a financial services industry (Advantageous); Basic coding experience (Advantageous)
