YOUR DAY TO DAY LIFE
We are looking for a Technical Customer Care in 40 Modulus Road, Ormonde, Johannesburg, Gauteng 2091 ZAF. Your mission will be to:
The incumbent will act as the primary contact for assigned accounts and co-ordinate related technical support activities for clients, ensuring best-in-class service to the clients of Mérieux NutriSciences range of services.
- Answer internal and external client phone calls/e-mails from existing assigned clients and from new clients.
- Develop and maintain systems and procedures to improve departmental communications concerning assigned client requests and requirements, to ensure laboratory has clear instructions and ease log-in process
- Ensure Sample Registrars receive clear and correct instructions from assigned clients upon sample receipt
- Work closely with laboratory operations personnel
- Ensure lab results and additional information reach assigned clients according to their requests and within agreed time frame
- Work closely with Sales, Operations and IT to effectively coordinate projects to meet client requirements
- Act as the liaison between the lab and assigned clients to provide seamless service to the clients.
- Identify opportunities for business growth and work closely with the Sales Staff to ensure that these opportunities are pursued
- Take responsibility and authority to identify departures from the quality systems or test procedures, or trends of not meeting customer requirements, and bring them to the attention of the Department Manager, Quality Manager, or Branch Manager as appropriate
- Support corporate quality and continuous improvement process
- Work collaboratively to build and maintain productive working relationships with the Sales Teams and other departments with the end goal of meeting or exceeding the client’s needs
YOUR PROFILE
- Diploma in Microbiology (or similar), Food Science/ Tech, or Chemistry required
- General knowledge of food testing methods and scientific processes
- Technical, water chemistry and customer experience
- Practical experience in a commercial laboratory will be an advantage.
- Needs to be on-site, working alongside the Water (Inorganic and Organic) Lab
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills required.
- Superior follow-up skills and attention to detail are also required for success in this role
- Technical skills to understand client problems/needs and to identify possible conflict between client needs/expectations and laboratory constraints
