Job Advert Summary
As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth front desk and accounting operations during overnight hours while delivering exceptional customer service. Your duties include assisting guests with late-night requests, processing check-ins and reservations, balancing financial records, and acting as the primary liaison between guests and the hotel throughout the night.
Minimum Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional, well-spoken, and presentable demeanor.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., OPERA).
- Solid mathematical and analytical skills.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Duties and Responsibilities
Guest Services & Front Desk Operations
- Welcome and assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Provide guests with necessary information to enhance their stay.
- Handle late-night reservations, last-minute bookings, and walk-ins.
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Answer phone calls and manage reservations.
- Schedule wake-up calls and coordinate next-day reservations.
Financial & Audit Duties
- Maintain accurate financial records and perform nightly audits.
- Verify and reconcile daily transactions, invoices, and room charges.
- Process guest bills, refunds, and reservation adjustments.
- Ensure all accounts are balanced and properly documented.
- Prepare financial and operational reports for management review.
- Complete End of Day (EOD) procedures and ensure all system functions run successfully.
- Balance cash drawers and log receipts accurately.
Administrative & Security Support
- Prepare and distribute employee checks as needed.
- Monitor hotel security by assisting the security team with property patrols.
- Summarize nightly operations and highlight any follow-up tasks for management.
- Verify that all EOD tasks have been completed by other departments.
