Managed People Solutions is looking for an Enablement Officer based in Johannesburg to support training, learning, and development across the Meridian Holdings Group. The ideal candidate is organized, communicates well, and works effectively with different teams. This role plays a key part in driving employee growth and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the management of the training budgets within the Meridian Holdings group to ensure budget compliance per company.
- This may include collaborating with relevant stakeholders (MDs, Finance team etc.) to support in guiding expenditure as per the Capability Matrix and training needs.
- Ensure effective and efficient delivery of all services within the HR realm to the Meridian Functional Group.
- Ensure an active and concise chain of communication and coordinate the flow and dissemination of information to relevant parties and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Assist with the compilation of detailed quarterly, annual, and/or ad-hoc HR dashboards and reports, as directed by the Talent and Enablement Manager and/or needs identified.
- Assist with the implementation and coordination of the leadership development programme(s), tailored to various career stages (Tier 1 to 4), from emerging leaders to senior executives.
- Assist with the facilitation of a diverse set of assessments to further aid the recruitment process in attracting and successfully appointing talent whilst, following best practice approaches.
- This includes executing learning and development programs, focused on building critical skills, competencies, career paths, personal development plans (PDPs), talent mobility (internally and externally) etc.
- Assist with the development of a capability matrix for each company. Contributing towards the improvement of organizational capability and diversity through talent management processes and plans.
- Assist with the rollout and logistics of talent development programmes, including training schedules, communications, and materials preparation. This includes supporting the facilitation and monitoring of learning and development initiatives, ensuring data accuracy, and feedback collection.

- This includes conducting needs assessments to ensure that programs, initiatives and resources address organisational gaps and future capabilities.
- Contribute towards the development and implementation of assessment batteries. This may include designing and/or developing assessment instruments aimed at contributing towards enhanced selection and/or development processes within the group.
- Maintain LMS (People Portal) by ensuring effective utilization, maintenance, pathway allocation, and reporting. This includes ensuring that all new joiners receive relevant materials, training schedules, and policy orientation as per the connectivity programme.
- Contribute towards initiatives aimed at assessing and enhancing employee engagement, fostering a culture of inclusivity, belonging, and performance.
- Collaborate with wider HR team and business on change initiatives, offering insights on human impact and employee engagement.
- Take responsibility for personal development by continuously updating job knowledge, staying abreast of industry trends and participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations etc.
- This includes all training and development initiatives presented by the company in line with your development within your current role.
- Contribute towards the continuous assessment of company and people-related risks and implementation of remedial actions.
- Ensure good corporate governance within the division and across the various divisions.
- Contribute towards adherence to QMS and HR policies and procedures.
- Ensuring that HR processes and practices are standardized and updated per the Quality Management SOP.
- Facilitate open and effective communication and promote cross-functional and cross-company collaboration thereby contributing towards a diverse and productive work environment.
Requirement and Experience:
- Degree in HR Management or Postgrad degree in Industrial Psychology (preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in HR, Training, or development. Alternatively, 2-4 years of experience working on learning management system (LMS) (preferred).
- Registered Intern or Industrial Psychologist - HPCSA (preferred).
