Job Title: Setter x2

Location: Isando, Johannesburg
Onsite/Shift
Purpose of Role: The Setter will ensure the day-to-day setting of machines, including new parts, tools and projects related to machine shop (SMED). Assist machinist on complex setting up of jobs to meet our internal quality standards. This position ensures that end users are provided with value added solutions to reduce delay on machines to deliver parts to the customer and improve machine shop quality and OTD (On time delivery). Work with machine shop technical team to investigate quality issues and make improvements. This role is also responsible to improve innovation and cost reduction within the department. Identify and improve none safety areas to ensuring safety compliance.

Operation:
Maintain a safe work environment, Set jig / fixture for the following job in-line for specified machines. Set and service tooling for the following job in-line for specified machines. Maintain and service all jigs and fixtures in designated areas. Assisting to obtain the 1800 hours a week. Maintain 100% quality throughput. Maintain a safe work environment. Adherence to all statutory HSE and housekeeping / 5S requirements. Presetting of all CNC tools with setting Machine ( Zoller machine)
Technical:
Maintain 5S housekeeping and safety on presetting tables, tool room and Jigs and fixtures stores. Reduction in machine set up / part setup. Increasing run hours on machines, Reduction in re-setup. Reduction in downtime waiting for always tooling / jigs /fixtures & Adhere to Duty of Care Policy.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- Qualified Fitter and Turner or Relevant work experience or both
- Experience with presetting of tools and Jigs.
- Able to read and interpret the drawing.
- Valid Forklift and Overhead Crane Licenses
- 1 years’ post trade test experience
- 1 years’ experience operating CNC machines will be an added advantage
