Do you thrive in a fast-paced retail environment? Are you passionate about building brands, driving foot traffic, creating memorable campaigns, and building strong relationships with tenants and stakeholders?
We’re looking for a marketing manager to join our team and take the lead on all aspects of marketing at a leading shopping centre in Table View, Cape Town.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic marketing and planning
Develop, implement and manage the annual marketing strategy
Drive innovation, value, and alignment with commercial objectives
Manage and optimise the marketing budget and spend
Tenant engagement
Lead tenant communication and monthly merchant meetings
Coordinate focus groups and category-specific meetings
Drive retail participation and buy-in for campaigns
Advertising and promotions
Brief and manage creative agencies
Oversee campaigns, events, promotions, and media schedules
Monitor and approve creative output and advertising assets
Event and campaign execution
Conceptualise and deliver high-impact events and activations
Manage timelines, budgets, suppliers, and retailer involvement
Public relations and media
Draft and distribute press releases
Manage media relations and publicity tracking
Act as the centre’s spokesperson when needed
Reporting and research
Submit monthly marketing reports and insights
Monitor centre performance metrics (foot count, spend, engagement)
Conduct competitor analysis and shopper feedback surveys
Digital marketing and social media
Oversee website content and monthly updates
Ensure daily social media content is engaging, relevant, and retail-focused
Key performance indicators
Effective execution of marketing strategies & events
Budget control and reporting accuracy
Growth in foot traffic, spend per head, and centre visibility
Stakeholder satisfaction (tenants, owners, consumers)
Innovation in digital and shopper engagement
Requirements
Minimum 3–5 years of retail or property marketing experience
Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or similar
Strong project management, communication and leadership skills
Excellent understanding of digital and traditional media
Able to work flexible hours when events require
