We are on the lookout for a passionate Technical Clerk. The role will be based in Nelspruit and report to the Maintanance Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage maintenance planning activities according to professional planning standards

Ensure that best practices in planning are applied to improve the efficiency of maintenance

Implement and maintain a proper maintenance strategy and philosophy

Initiate and manage preventative maintenance of all sections

Develop time estimates of planned maintenance work

Ensure that good store management practices are applied to retain the full reliability of stored parts and equipment

Implement planning boards

Ensure that all necessary documentation to perform the maintenance work are available

Continually reviewing planning, scheduling, data management and job reporting systems to improve planning effectiveness and efficiency

Write applicable maintenance procedures that promote defect-free maintenance work quality

Schedule maintenance work into the production plan

Ensure that Key Performance Indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability, maintenance department performances and planning and scheduling business flow processes

Responsible for the accurate upkeep of equipment maintenance history and work order record database

Responsible for the accurate upkeep of technical information on the plant and equipment

Minimum Requirements

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Grade 12.

Minimum of 2 years’ Maintenance experience preferably within the FMCG environment.

Code 10 driver’s license.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Sound knowledge of the plants and processes

Sound knowledge of all the equipment and spares being used

Computer literate in both Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

Knowledge of ERP/EAMS (On-key, SAP, Oracle, Syspro, etc.)

An understanding on performance of relevant maintenance activities

Sound understanding of equipment reliability and performance

Ability to plan and schedule maintenance related activities

Compile, create and interpret report graphs
