Warehouse Operative

Description
The purpose of the Warehouse Operative is to assist with a wide range of tasks in and around the Warehouse, including but not limited to receiving, dispatch, stock counts and hygiene.
Responsibilities
Receiving
- Receiving all stock via the Qwix system
- Ensure all stock coming in has the correct pallet ID
- All inbound inspections (Packaging material & customer returns)
- Physical inspections, taking of samples for lab, and capturing on the Qwix system
- Finalizing admin tasks and scanning
Retrieving samples
- Samples must be taken of all stock received, bulk oil in flow bins and packaging material, and taken to the lab
Put-away functions
- Placing of stock in correct bin allocations, when received from bottling or with inbound – adhering to Qwix instructions on scanners
Picking
- Picking of stock according to the Qwix system – instruction on scanners
- Picking of stock from load sheets if Qwix system is offline
- Picking stock to replenish Bottling daily
Issuing and transfers
- Transferring and issuing of stock, consumables, and chemicals to bottling and other departments – according to the QWIX scanning system and requisitions
Stock take
- Doing stock takes and cycle counts as communicated
Rework
- Rework of damaged or QC rejected stock
Housekeeping
- Ensuring all housekeeping is done, on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis according to schedule
Compliance policies and procedures
- Ensuring that you understand all policies and procedures that is applicable to your department
Health and Safety
- Participate in safety forums created by Soill for example safety meetings and safety talks
- Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meetings / committees / representatives / management
- Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
- Attend safety education and refresher programmes
- Comply with safety policies and procedures at Soill
- Distribute safety information as and when required
- Wear protective clothing (where applicable) at all times
Requirements
Minimum Qualification and Experience:
- Grade 12
- Literacy in Microsoft Excel/Word /QWIX
- Knowledge of SAP will be advantageous
- Language: English and Afrikaans
- Forklift licence
- One to two years relevant warehouse experience.
- Receiving experience
- Inbound & Outbound experience
- Production exposure will be advantageous
