Our Data Center (DC) business, encompassing Multi-Tenant DC, Hyperscale, AI DC, Cloud, Central Office, and Enterprise DC, is at the forefront of supporting the explosive growth driven by cloud computing and Generative AI.
CommScope is seeking a dynamic and driven Country Account Manager to lead the growth of our Data Center and Central Office business in South Africa Cluster, including SA, Angola, Zambia, Namibia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Botswana.
This strategic role is responsible for driving market share and revenue growth across DC & CO, targeting telco, hyperscale, colocation, financial institutions, and large enterprise DC customers (e.g., banks, insurance groups, tech hubs).
You will lead the commercial execution across key accounts and projects, engaging both direct customers and partners to position CommScope’s infrastructure portfolio as the standard for mission-critical environments.
HOW YOU'LL HELP US CONNECT THE WORLD:
In the vibrant Data Center ecosystem, you forge enduring client relationships and uncover new business opportunities. By deeply understanding client needs, you deliver customized solutions and grow a network of dedicated partners. You excel in driving revenue, managing the sales pipeline, and closing deals efficiently. Through strategic planning, you ensure project success and stay informed on the latest trends, becoming a trusted expert in the field.
As a trusted advisor, you will be responsible for promoting and selling CommScope's cutting-edge passive network infrastructure solutions to Data Center clients across the region, driving market share and revenue growth across colocation providers, telecom central offices, cloud operators, financial institutions, and enterprise-owned data centers.
Your mission will be to:
- Cultivate and expand client relationships: Build strong, lasting partnerships with key decision-makers in the Data Center ecosystem.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities: Proactively seek out and develop new avenues for growth.
- Understand and address client needs: Analyze client business, technology, and product requirements to provide tailored solutions.
- Expand and develop a network of focused and loyal partners – System Integrators and Installers.
- Drive revenue and achieve sales targets: Manage the sales pipeline, forecast demand, and close deals effectively.
- Lead strategic account and project planning: Develop and execute comprehensive plans to ensure project success.
- Become a subject matter expert: Stay abreast of the latest Data Center trends and technologies to provide expert guidance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- Min 3 years of successful sales experience in data center, telecom, or ICT infrastructure industries.
- Demonstrated ability to win and manage high-value, complex accounts across multiple verticals including finance, telco, cloud, and large enterprise.
- Strong understanding of fiber and high-density connectivity, physical layer infrastructure, thermal management, racks & cabinets, and power systems for mission-critical environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, ICT, or Business.
- Fluency in English and willing to travel across South Africa and the Sub Sahara region.
