Head – Financial Solution Technology (Banking)
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Head – Financial Solution Technology (Banking) to lead the end-to-end solution architecture and software engineering function across a diverse portfolio of enterprise applications. This strategic role will focus on the design and delivery of systems supporting Fund Administration, Core Banking, Compliance functions, and evolving capabilities around Digital Assets. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, proven experience managing cross-functional global teams, and a passion for delivering scalable, secure, and innovative technology solutions. Solid experience working within an Agile environment and practicing DevOps methodologies would be preferable.

Job Specification
- Lead the global analysis, design, and development functions across Fund Administration, Core Banking, and Compliance applications.
- Drive the architecture and development of scalable and resilient solutions using the Microsoft technology stack, T-SQL, PL/SQL, VB.NET, and cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS).
- Oversee business and technical analysis activities, ensuring requirements are accurately captured and translated into robust technical designs.
- Define and implement best practices for system design, solution architecture, data modelling, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Develop system integrations with third-party applications using various Integration Services.
- Worked with SWIFT architecture to support secure financial messaging and transactions.
- Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and vendors to analyze issues, implement solutions, and enhance banking processes.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security standards, and best practices.
- Build and manage a high-performing global team of analysts, architects, and developers across multiple jurisdictions.
- Foster an agile and DevOps-oriented culture, continuously improving development velocity, deployment reliability, and platform security.
- Maintain oversight of system documentation, design artifacts, and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance, data protection standards, and regulatory obligations.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to keep solutions future-proof and innovative.
- Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Security, Development, and Product teams to ensure seamless platform operation and scalability.
- Provide subject matter expertise on digital assets and blockchain-integrated systems as part of the application landscape.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 12+ years of software development and systems design experience, with at least 5 years in a global leadership role.
- 5+ years of experience working with SQL databases, including query optimization and data management.
- Experience developing integrations between banking applications and third-party systems.
- Good understanding of SWIFT architecture and processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex banking application issues. Working Knowledge of Azure DevOps
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes and frameworks (certification preferred).
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is an advantage
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly regulated financial services environment
- Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
- Fluent communication skills in English – both written and verbally
- Knowledge/experience working within Financial Services
- Technical proficiency in:
- T-SQL and PL/SQL
- VB.NET, C#, .NET Core
- Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms
- Experience with Olympic Banking Solution.
- Familiarity with digital assets, tokenization platforms, and blockchain integration strategies is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of cloud - Azure experience (Azure Certifications are advantageous)
- Knowledge of working with in an Agile and DevOps environment
