Job Purpose
The Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to supervise and provide a registry and messenger service.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification); A minimum of 6 years experience in a registry environment.
Recommendation
Records Management Course Certificate; Electronic Records Management Course Certificate; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence.

Key Performance Areas
Supervise and render the following: An effective registry and messenger service; An effective filing and record management service; Administrationof the Enterprise Content Management and Electronic File Tracking system(s); Operation and operate office equipment in relation to the registry function; People management
Competencies
Knowledge of the following: Registry duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data, and operate computer; Legislative framework governing the Public Service; Storage and retrieval procedures in terms of the working environment; Planning, monitoring and managing staff within work environment; Labour Relations Legislation and regulations; PERMIS system; Enterprise Content Management and File Tracking Systems.
Skills needed: Computer literacy in MS Office Package; Communication skill (written and verbal); Planning and organisation; Database Administration.
Remuneration
R 325 101 - R 382 959 per annum (Salary level 7)
Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
Notes
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to do a practical and attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
