We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Data Scientist to join our growing Data & Analytics team. This role is ideal for someone with 2–4 years of experience in data science, a strong foundation in statistical modelling, and hands-on experience with SAS. Proficiency in Python and R is a plus, along with exposure to Big Data technologies and tools
Are you someone who can:
- Assist in the development and deployment of predictive models using SAS and other statistical tools.
- Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights and support business decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions
- Clean, transform, and validate data for analysis and modelling.
- Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
- Support the implementation of machine learning models in production environments.
- Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay current with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and AI.
- Bachelor’s degree or Honours in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in a data science or analytics role.
- Strong background in SAS for data manipulation and modelling.
- Strong understanding of statistical modelling techniques (e.g., regression, classification, clustering).
- Experience with Python and/or R for data analysis and visualization.
- Familiarity with SQL for querying relational databases.
- Strong Exposure to Big Data technologies such as:
- Hadoop
- Teradata
- etc
- Experience with cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI would be an added advantage.
