Reporting to the General Manager, as the Service Manager South Africa, you will lead our Service Department with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering exceptional service experiences, building lasting relationships with key clients, and ensuring our solutions meet the evolving needs of our customers. This is an onsite role, based out of our offices in Northriding, with up to 30% travel required.


In this role, you will:

  • Build and maintain a sustainable Service Department through the implementation of strategic plans

  • Execute growth strategies to establish and maintain a sustainable revenue growth trajectory

  • Negotiation and implementation of SLA’s

  • Negotiation and implementation of pricing updates

  • Relationship building with key stakeholders of high-potential commercial accounts

  • Create and maintain a strategic plan with continuous assessment of market dynamics and redirection where necessary

  • Manage and train service engineers

  • Assist in field service activities as required

  • Plan staff scheduling

  • Manage the service department budgeting and forecasting

  • Manage workshop efficiencies and tools

  • External and internal customers technical assistance

  • Document and process controls


The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Demonstrated experience of leading a team

  • Proven track record of strategic thinking and implementation

  • Proven track record of customer focused operations and deliverables

  • Must have valid driver’s license, acceptable driving records

  • Knowledge of common business software (MS Office)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • A degree or National Diploma in Mechanical and or Electrical Engineering is preferred
