Purpose Of Position

The ideal candidate will work closely with data engineers to design, maintain, and enhance data systems and pipelines, ensuring efficient data integration, flow, and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and evaluate existing data systems and architectures.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to design and optimise data pipelines, particularly those handling API-sourced data.
  • Identify data integration, transformation, and automation requirements.
  • Manage and ensure the reliability of data ingestion from various APIs.
  • Provide production support for existing data systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
  • Optimise data workflows for performance, scalability, and real-time processing.
  • Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for API data processes, system architecture, and support procedures.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Certificates
  • Proven experience as a Systems Analyst with a focus on data systems, API integration, and production support.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
  • Proficient in SQL, data integration tools, API handling, and scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and API authentication methods.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
