Role Overview
We are urgently seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst with strong expertise in Group Risk insurance products to join our team on a contract basis. This role requires a hands-on tester who can contribute immediately to ongoing and upcoming testing projects within the Group Risk domain.
You will play a key role in the end-to-end testing lifecycle, including test planning, test case design, execution, defect management, and reporting. This is a fast-paced project environment, so the ability to ramp up quickly and deliver results from day one is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation.
- Design, create, and execute detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases specific to Group Risk insurance processes.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing across various platforms.
- Perform API testing where applicable (using tools like Postman or SoapUI).
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira, ensuring timely resolution.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrums, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives) and work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners.
- Ensure traceability between business requirements and test cases.
- Provide test progress updates and contribute to test reports for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support where needed.
- Ensure adherence to testing standards, processes, and best practices.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Test Analyst, with at least 2-3 years focused on Group Risk insurance products.
- Strong understanding of Group Risk business processes, products, and systems.
- Solid manual testing experience within insurance or financial services environments.
- Proven experience in Agile testing environments.
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
- Strong defect management and test documentation skills.
- Experience working on complex projects, preferably within large corporate environments.
- Exposure to performance testing is an advantage.
- Relevant IT Qualification (Degree / Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or similar field).
- ISTQB Foundation Certification is essential.
- Agile Testing or other relevant testing certifications are advantageous.
- Ability to start immediately with minimal onboarding time.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Highly detail-oriented with a focus on quality assurance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional Agile team.
- Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
