Job Description:

Works with the Southern Africa Marketing Manager for the effective implementation of all marketing programmes for the business to underpin market strategy and Southern Africa Business Plan delivery. The role is responsible for developing and execution of marketing initiatives in relevant channels in the region and as such works closely with sales channel leads and channel partners.

Responsible in the market for ASP, Product launch, Project delivery and Activation of marketing activities in the channel

Key Responsibilities
  • Leads PCO (Passenger Car Oil) and MCO (Motorcycle Oil) product portfolio in line with South African requirements according to strategical ambitions, makes sure the portfolio meets local needs within global guardrails; identify gaps, launch new products, identify simplification opportunities and improvement areas.
  • Develop and implement annual marketing plans to deliver volume, turnover and gross margin targets for the channel.
  • Plan, lead Indirect Channel ASP budget, tracking of ROI with post evaluations covering results and learnings.
  • Brief, lead agencies and resources needed to deliver marketing campaigns
  • Coordinate, collect market insights within applicable competition law to deliver tactical marketing plans, winning customer development propositions and support strategy planning.
  • Integrate best practises from other markets and identify collaboration growth opportunities within bp Castrol.
  • Mentor Distributors on their marketing plans in alignment with Castrol growth strategy.
  • Work closely with the Indirect Sales Team to plan and deliver marketing activation plans with full stakeholder alignment to drive in year performance and strategic goals.
  • Connect as appropriate with the Global, Africa and META marketing teams to ensure appropriate product proposition for the channel.

Education

University degree or equivalent experience, . Experience in Sales and Marketing will be huge plus.

Experience
  • Lubricants experience essential
  • Substantial experience in Marketing
  • Experience in B2B and B2C marketing activation essential
  • Experience in disciplined marketing campaign execution
  • Experience of working with agencies across multiple channels and countries
  • Experience of working in a matrix organization
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
