What You Will Be Doing

• Managing the full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
• Processing and reconciling cashbooks and journals
• Overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Handling VAT submissions and monthly statutory returns (support available where needed)
• Assisting with management accounts and audit preparations (including compiling audit files if required)
• Supporting financial procedures and internal controls
• Liaising with auditors, banks, and SARS (with assistance provided for SARS-related matters)
• Managing payroll-related reconciliations
• Reconciling loan accounts monthly
• Working closely with, and reporting directly to, the Director

What You Need to Succeed

• A completed BCom degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ solid experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in accounting systems (Sage, Xero, or similar)
• Good working knowledge of VAT and tax compliance (support can be provided where necessary)
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Clear credit and criminal record
