Are you passionate about design, sales, and delivering a premium client experience? OKHA , a leading luxury interior and furniture design studio, is looking for a skilled and driven junior sales consultant to join our Cape Town team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-end design environment and is committed to excellence, relationship-building, and seeing projects through from concept to delivery.
Please note that only candidates currently residing in Cape Town, South Africa, will be considered for this role.
Key responsibilities
Sales and client service
Manage the full sales process, from first contact to post-delivery follow-up, ensuring an exceptional client experience.
Build deep product knowledge across OKHA’s collections and confidently guide clients in selecting the best pieces for their needs.
Manage showroom walk-ins, handle all queries and complaints professionally, and ensure timely communication on production and delivery.
Collaborate with Marketing and Vendor Relations to promote new products and specials.
Maintain and grow your client base, track leads, and drive targeted sales campaigns.
Submit vendor status reports to maintain transparency and alignment.
Ensure satisfaction after delivery and resolve any client issues before closing a project.
Uphold OKHA’s brand standards in every interaction and comply with internal sales policies.
Finance
Meet and monitor individual sales targets; participate in bi-monthly calls with Finance to review pipeline and conversions.
Issue accurate quotes and pro forma invoices; liaise with Finance Admin for invoicing and payment tracking.
Interface with the Production team for bespoke furniture pricing and ensure seamless handover to Admin for quote generation.
Production coordination
Provide detailed and accurate product specifications to the Production unit to ensure smooth manufacturing.
Coordinate closely with the Production and Design teams on customised items and design project sales.
Key requirements
Essential skills and criteria
Relevant Qualification
1 - 3 years’ experience in Sales and Project Management essential
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Ability to accurately understand and interpret instructions
Understanding of the production process
The ability to demonstrate creative problem-solving skills
Able to set and achieve deadlines and give regular updates on progress
Methodical, accurate and consistent attention to detail
Able to remain calm and work in high-pressure environments
Self-motivated and able to take responsibility
Demonstrate initiative and be pro-active towards daily tasks
Able to build good relationships at all levels both internally and externally
Team player
Behavioural criteria:
Flexible attitude
Able to demonstrate a high degree of professionalism
Strong sense of responsibility and accountability
Able to take instruction respectfully
