Job Purpose:
The Senior IT Audit Manager is responsible to strategically drive the growth of the Digitech Assurance Portfolio and secure new strategic clients for SNG Grant Thornton. This involves enhancing the team's capacity to manage a larger workload, improving focus and quality in individual client engagements, and significantly contributing to faster turnaround times. A core responsibility is playing a key role in the detailed review of engagements to ensure superior quality and consistency, ultimately leading to increased internal and external client satisfaction and greater efficiency in the review process

Job Description:
  • Strategically plan staffing to manage increased workload effectively.
  • Participate in hiring skilled IT audit professionals and implementing retention strategies.
  • Streamline audit workflows, leveraging automation and standardization.
  • Foster a culture of learning and internal best practices for Digitech Assurance.
  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of engagements, ensuring clear scope and objectives.
  • Ensure audit plans are developed with a robust, risk-based focus on critical digital risks.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of workpapers and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards.
  • Ensure consistent methodologies and findings across all engagements.
  • Continuously improve audit methodologies and champion new tech adoption for quality.
  • Actively listen to and address client feedback, providing valuable, actionable insights.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and deliver clear, impactful reports.
  • Foster teamwork with other SNG Grant Thornton services for integrated solutions.
  • Mentor and develop team members, supporting their professional growth.
  • Implement checklists and templates for consistent and efficient review processes.
  • Explore tools to automate parts of the review process.
  • Ensure audit teams understand documentation requirements to reduce rework.
  • Provide prompt, constructive feedback to facilitate quick remediation and learning.
Qualifications:
  • B Com, BSc, or BTech in IT / Informatics or equivalent. CISA, CGEIT, CISM, CRISC, CISSP or CA (SA) preferred.
  • CISA certification required.
Experience:
  • Minimum 8 – 10 years of progressive experience in IT auditing with proven people leadership, operational oversight, and business development exposure.
  • Strong ERP exposure, data analytics capability, and cybersecurity knowledge advantageous.
