Inbound Clerk at Famous Brands

Introduction

Ensures that stock received from suppliers are checked and received correctly in terms of quantity and quality. Assist with active put aways to pickfaces as well as cycle counting on pickfaces when required.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Receives stock from supplier on handheld device.
• Records the item, quantity, expiry date and batch number (if applicable) for every item received.
• Assist with splitting and sorting of pallets to ensure one item / one batch per pallet.
• Cycle counts to be conducted on pickfaces if required.
• License plate needs to be placed on the top right of the pallet.
• Active put aways to be done when assigned to the pickface.
• Ensure putaways are completed by the MHE operators before the end of each shift.
• Damaged / expired stock needs to be rejected upon receiving and not accepted from the supplier.
• Ensure accuracy of the master data on the receiving worksheet.
• Assist with stock takes when required.
• Successful completion of the aspiration programme

• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
• Good planning and organizational skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Time management skills an advantage.
• Grade 12 an advantage or experience in a similar role
• Warehouse Management System (WMS) knowledge an advantage.
• At least 1 year experience in similar role.
