We are seeking an experienced Administrative Manager to oversee the day-to-day operational and administrative functions of the Agricultural department services in Piet Retief. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader with strong organizational skills and a solid background in financial administration and people management.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Matric / Grade 12 (minimum requirement)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline
  • 5–7 years' proven experience in an administrative or office management role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with AS400 and/or AGRIS systems (advantageous)
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Afrikaans (advantageous)
  • Valid Code 08 Driver's License
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Must be based in, or open to relocating to, Piet Retief

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all administrative functions across the operations.
  • Oversee accurate processing of transactions including invoicing, sales, stock records, and credit notes.
  • Manage office resources, supplies, and administrative tools to ensure optimal usage.
  • Monitor key operational and financial metrics; compile regular reports for senior management.
  • Supervise a multi-site administrative team, providing coaching, performance reviews, and training.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve administrative systems, processes, and policies.
  • Ensure effective internal and external communication and maintain document control standards.
  • Provide input into the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Track expenses and contribute to cost efficiency initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Support internal audits and risk management processes.
  • Assist in the coordination of projects and foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • Drive continuous improvement aligned with divisional and company objectives.
