Job Summary:

As a Firewall & Network Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and providing pre-sales services for their client base. You will work closely with their clients to deploy, and troubleshoot their products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain network and firewall infrastructure for our clients.
  • Conduct network and security assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
  • Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, switches, routers, and other network devices.
  • Monitor network traffic and security logs for potential threats and take necessary actions to mitigate them.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide pre-sales support, including creating proposals and conducting presentations to potential clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to firewalls and network security.
  • Provide technical support to clients, including responding to service requests and resolving network and security issues.
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for internal and client use.
  • Travel to client sites as needed for project deployments and support.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering, preferably in a client-facing role.
  • Strong knowledge of firewalls, switches, routers, and other network devices.
  • Experience with network security protocols, such as VPN, SSL, and IPsec.
  • Knowledge of network monitoring and management tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based networking and security solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
