Snr Specialist: Legal Advisor

Core Description

Responsible for the provision of legal services and assistance to the Telkom Group. The role handles a variety of moderately to complex legal instructions and provides advice on appropriate legal action.

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

• Drafting, and reviewing all contracts
• Providing legal advice to subsidiaries and Telkom Group on all matters
• Negotiating all applicable contracts/ service level agreements on behalf of the Telkom Group and subsidiaries with internal and external parties
• Researching and providing legal guidance on applicable legislation for compliance purposes
• Coordinating all legal matters for the purpose of instructing external attorneys
• Manage the resolution of disputes
• Providing legal support and assistance to ensure compliance with relevant legislation)
• Drafting opinions/submissions /memos to internal stakeholders at various levels in Telkom Group
• Review and analyse settlement proposals on disputes with suppliers and customers - work with portfolios with regards to obtaining the best possible settlement proposal for the Telkom Group
• Identify, manage and monitor legal risks within the company, as well as its client to whom the company provides a services

• Minimum of seven (7) to nine (9) years relevant legal experience, preferably within an ICT environment.
