IT Support Technician - Underground Operations

We are seeking a skilled and reliable IT Support Technician to join our team supporting the OT (Operational Technology) underground environment. The ideal candidate will have strong infrastructure support experience, proven technical capabilities, and the ability to operate professionally in challenging mining or industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain the OT underground environment, ensuring system uptime and reliability.
• Install, configure, support, and troubleshoot server and network environments.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently and effectively.
• Provide end-user support, including account management, system troubleshooting, and user training.
• Collaborate with users and stakeholders to resolve issues and provide regular feedback until resolution.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism in interactions with OT personnel, clients, and third-party vendors.
• Develop and update IT infrastructure diagrams and documentation using Microsoft Visio.
• Communicate technical information clearly both verbally and in writing.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate (Completed)
• A+ and N+ Certification (or equivalent)
• Cisco CCNA Certification
• Working knowledge of Optical Fibre technology
• 3-4 years' experience in IT infrastructure support, including systems maintenance, diagnostics, and resolution in enterprise or industrial environments
• Underground operational experience (mining or industrial) is essential
