Job Summary

LUM is a web based tool providing design of data transformation workflows to end users on demand. The team is looking for a skilled UI software engineer that will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the current Angular codebase.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

  • End to end responsibility for successful development and delivery of projects
  • Engage with business analysts and subject matter experts to ensure appropriate delivery according to expectations
  • Upskill team members
  • Integrate solutions with other teams and services across the bank
  • Participate in scrum process

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

  • The selected candidate will be working with LUM team in Prague and Johannesburg
  • The person will be responsible for communicating with key stakeholders in South Africa

Person Specification

  • Eager to learn new approaches and technologies
  • Proactive and able to work in a team
  • Respects controlled software development processes and quality controls

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong Angular programming skills and overall understanding
  • Strong problem solving skills are required
  • Strong development practices (continuous integration, unit testing, patterns, clean code)
  • Background in computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics or equivalent

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with RxJS, TypeScript, SignalR, SASS
  • Experience with UX and web design targeting enterprise users
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience with .NET Framework/C#
  • Experience with JVM/Scala

Education

Bachelor's Degree: Information Technology
