Duties and Responsibilities
- Industry Training for Parties and external stakeholders.
- Compliance training for all staff, which includes –
- Develop learning programmes and courseware.
- Facilitate theory and knowledge-based compliance training for all staff.
- Work with internal departments and role-players to provide end-to-end training that addresses system and business processes for all Inspectorate portfolios.
- Facilitate theoretical, practical and work experiential learning/training and the completion of the portfolio of evidence for the Initial Agent Training Programme (Part-1 and Part-2 Agent training).
- Conduct assessments and moderation of learning.
- Manage the Council’s accreditation and delivery of training as a Skills Development Provider for accredited relevant labour relations curriculums.
- Perform any other generic training and quality assurance duties required by the Council.
- Quality assure all Inspectorate functions (track, trace, assess and quality assure Inspectorate functions and activities) which includes –
- Perform onsite job evaluation and assessments for all inspectorate portfolios.
- Report on job evaluation and assessment on all Inspectorate portfolios.
- Facilitate remedial work and recommend interventions and corrective measures for all Inspectorate portfolios.
- Test the effectiveness of processes in the field with the Agents (buddying) and independently (including conducting independent agent activities with the purpose of assessing the effectiveness of processes).
- Conduct research and development with Parties and the ICTM on new initiatives and to identify operational gaps, skills gaps and leading the adaptation to industry transformation.
- The work closely with BI Inspectorate specialist to facilitate training on new business integrations, do refresher training, assess the use of the inspectorate systems on SLX and close operational gaps.
- Participate in the development of inspectorate operational systems and the integration with other departments.
Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Requirements
- Ability to build strong effective relationships with all employees as well as external and internal stakeholders, i.e. service providers, colleagues and management.
- Above average verbal and written communication and listening skills
- Ability to withstand pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Must at all times be diplomatic and assertive (where needed) with employees and /or customers.
- Ability to overcome obstacles and meet targets and deadlines, thereby producing the specified results.

- Must be meticulous in carrying out tasks/instructions etc.

- Excellent report writing skills and experience.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Qualifications
- Relevant Diploma/Degree in Human Resources,Labour law or Motor Industry Trade Certificate. A postgraduate degree will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of 3 years as a Designated Agent
- Assessor and moderator accreditation would be advantageous.
- Good knowledge of the relevant legislation
- Previous experience in coordination and facilitation of EE and Training committees will be added as an advantage.
- Advance knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.
